Join the very entertaining Tim Ellison in a progressive wine tasting as he shares his diverse experience as both an educator and industry professional. Tim will connect the dots between training and the bottom line – and identify the tangible ways have educated staff can impact sales, drawing upon his personal experience as a wine educator and a senior industry professional with direct P&L responsibility.
Tim holds dual diplomas as a Sommelier by both the International Sommelier Guild (ISG) and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). He also holds a Diploma of Hospitality Administration from BCIT, a Chef de Cuisine certification from the Canadian Culinary Institute, and a Red Seal from the Industry Training Authority. He has also held senior industry roles, most recently as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Vancouver Club – one of the largest licensee purchasers of wine in the province.
