Donald House is the Managing Director of IDMG Culinary Marketing Strategies where he provides marketing, communication, event and digital programs that produce exceptional results in events, social media, big data analytics and robust data bases on multiple platforms for such companies as Visa, American Express, Four Season Hotel, Fairmont Hotels, Travel Alberta, The Banff Centre, Redpoint Media, The Globe & Mail and Wines of British Columbia.
Donald is a broadly experienced corporate marketing and media executive with over 29 years of experience in planning and directing national projects in corporate, government and academic environments.
Donald’s foremost client is Visa Canada, since 2008 he has provided Visa with extensive culinary marketing and tourism services conducting over 400+ event activations with national and international reach.
Mr. House has been a consultant with BC Wines for over seven years and has worked on the development and implementation of the BCWI Wine & Food Tourism Strategy, developed in partnership with Destination BC’s Co-operative Marketing Partnerships Program. Now in the third year of the BCWI Strategy this program has been marketed in Asia, USA and Canadian markets achieving outstanding results.
Mr. House has more than 20 years of governance experience and is past Chair of Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance, Art Gallery of Calgary and Alberta Publishers Association. During his tenure as Chair of Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance, Mr. House’s leadership and work was recognized in 2016 by winning The Alberta Tourism Alto Award for Collaborative Tourism and The TIAC Canadian Tourism Awards for best Culinary Tourism Experience.
